I just read a newspaper article..
It is about this couple who were married for 15 years. The husband got into an accident and went into a coma He was in coma for 12 years.. Everyday without fail, his wife would read to him a love letter One that she found when he was unconscious.. It was not a love letter from her or for her. But it was written by the first love of her husband.. He kept it secretly as a precious memory.. When she found it, she decided to read it out to her husband Cos she knows that the letter means a lot to him. Everytym she read the letter, ther would be slight responses from her husband So she read it to him everyday without fail.. For 12 years, everyday.... One day finally, her husband woke up from the coma............ But he is still a vegetable now.. However, he is conscious.. This sets me thinking... What made the women soo forgiving? Nothing she did could manage to wake her husband But a love letter from his first love did.... What was she feeling when she read the letter to him? Did she mind at all? I think she really truly loved him and just wants him to wake up.. Can we ever have that generosity to do that? |
